Oil-Based Stain

An oil-based stain can potentially stain or darken tile so it is important to act quickly.  Using a liquid cleanser (household detergent or acetone) clean gently with a rag and warm water.

Organic Stain

An organic stain may cause pinkish-brown stain and may disappear after the source of the stain has been removed.  For an indoor spill on tile, clean the stain with 12% clear hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of ammonia.

Biological Stain

Clean a biological stain with diluted cleaning solution: 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide and a gallon of water.  Apply the solution to the stain and wipe with a clean cloth.

Ink Stains

If ink finds its way on to your tile, reach for some hydrogen peroxide to gently remove the the ink stain from the tile.  Once the ink has been removed, use a damp cloth to wipe the area clean.
