During Fire Safety Week, it is a great time to take the opportunity to speak to your children about fire safety.  During an alarming time like a fire, it may be the nature of the child to panic.  It is important to speak with your children about immediate actions in the case of a fire, prepare and practice a family escape plan, and the precautions that are taking place throughout the home.  Increasing your child’s knowledge of fire safety will help decrease the chances of them panicking in the case of a home fire.
